The Authority organises a number of activities in Dragon Mart Two
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 21 July 2018: Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirates dedicated entity for Culture, Arts, Heritage and Literature, organised a number of traditional activities in Dragon Mark Two as part of ‘UAE China Week 2018’, in order to strengthen ties between China and the United Arab Emirates and promote cultural exchange between the two countries.
During the three-day event from 19th to 21st July — which is taking place from 4.00 to 10.00 pm — Dubai Culture participated in a heritage pavilion and distributed heritage gifts to visitors. The event also included traditional folk performances, such as Al Harbiya, The Liwa, and Al Ayyala, which attracted a large number of visitors.
In addition, Dubai Culture representatives reflected Arabic hospitality by presenting coffee and dates to visitors and explained the methods utilised in preparing Arabic coffee. This was done to emphasise the traditional Arabic hospitality of the United Arab Emirates.
Dubai Culture aims to enhance Dubai’s cultural scene and draw attention to the Emirate’s rich heritage with a variety of initiatives that take place throughout the year. The Authority’s mandate is to build bridges of constructive dialogue between different civilisations and cultures through enriching initiatives that benefit Dubai’s citizens, residents and visitors.
