The initiative that brings positivity and hope through beauty to women with illnesses
July 08, 2018 - Dubai UAE: The ‘Glamour for Good’ initiative, held recently in Dubai, is all about bringing happiness and hope to women with various health conditions. Caudalie is proud to have participated in this event, and to support Al Jalila Foundation for a good cause. ‘Glamour for Good’ offered a day of luxurious pampering and red-carpet glamour to four women, Fina, Marwa, Sarah and Sharifa. This initiative complements the medical treatment program, A’awen, in support of patients afflicted with chronic illnesses and serious medical conditions.
The event took place at the Palazzo Versace in Dubai at a three-bedroom luxury residence that was reserved for this day. It included time at the spa for a session of massages and facials as a precursor to a morning of beauty, styling and fashion, followed by lunch and a glamorous photoshoot. Make-up artist Laura Sejean was at hand to provide a full makeover, choosing beauty products from the Caudalie range to add a special touch of luxury.
Beauty Elixir, a star product in the Caudalie range, was one of the products Laura selected for this event. An award-winner, Beauty Elixir is considered a cult product on the catwalk and at photo shoots. It is the go-to for top make-up artists and models around the world as the number one beauty must-have. A gorgeous, plant-based product that offers an all-day beauty boost, Beauty Elixir smooths features, tightens pores while soothing the skin and fixing make-up. Its uplifting spritz of grapes to boost the radiance and moisturise, the rose myrrhe to tone the skin and the rosemary to energise the skin.
Additionally, Laura picked Caudalie’s innovative Premier Cru Collection, consisting of The Eye Cream, The Cream, The Serum and The Precious Oil. A comprehensive collection for every woman’s anti-aging needs, the Premier Cru range combines the ingredients patented by Caudalie (Resveratrol, Viniferine, Polyphenols) with highly effective anti-aging agents such as hyaluronic acid used at optimum levels to reduce signs of aging. The Eye Cream is formulated to minimise wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles, offering a gentle solution for this most fragile area of the face. Enriched with hyaluronic acid and anti-aging peptides, it also acts as an immediate beautifier due to illuminating pearly and silvery micro-pigments. The Cream, suitable for all skin types, rehydrates and beautifies with hyaluronic acid and anti-aging peptides to reduce signs of aging. The Serum contains the 3 ingredients patented by Caudalie (Grape-seed Polyphenols with an anti-oxidant effect, Vine Resveratrol to plump up and firm the epidermis, Viniferine for its anti-dark spot properties). This serum, featuring a very high concentration of hyaluronic acid, is the only product in the collection containing the new Vinergy® complex.
In addition to revitalizing the skin to correct all signs of aging, this innovative formula is an efficacy booster that amplifies the anti-wrinkle action of Premier Cru The Cream. The Precious Oil is a dry oil that can be used in several ways as a multipurpose product to nourish and add a glow.
Laura also selected Caudalie’s The Cleansing Collection. Consisting of the Make-up Removing Cleansing Oil, Instant Foaming Cleanser, Micellar Cleansing Water, Gentle Cleansing Milk and Moisturizing Toner, this range is formulated with the best natural ingredients. The different cleansers – whether Oil, Foaming Cleanser, Cleansing Water or Cleansing Milk – offer four different textures to choose from, all suitable for all skin types and formulated with at least 90% of natural-origin ingredients for healthy, completely cleansed, luminous skin as well as a sensorial experience. Once the skin is cleansed, Caudalie’s Moisturizing Toner revitalizes the complexion, sealing and shrinking the appearance of pores. Highly concentrated with moisture-rich Vinolevure, its alcohol-free formula softens and deeply hydrates. As with all Caudalie products, these are free of parabens, mineral oils, animal ingredients, phthalates, sodium laureth sulfate and phenoxyethanol.
These nurturing, gentle treatments were much appreciated by the four ladies who were the focus at the ‘Glamour for Good’ event, including Sharifa, who was bedridden for several years, Fina, who has suffered from debilitating rheumatism, Marwa, who has undergone a recent heart transplant and Sarah, a breast cancer survivor. Through this beautiful initiative, supported by Caudalie, these amazingly courageous women were made to feel special with the extra care and attention they so deserved. It was a day where they were celebrated for their courage under circumstances of affliction, and their stories shared in order to inspire others also going through health challenges.
