Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group celebrates the ‘Year of Zayed'

Dubai, UAE, May 07, 2018: Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group, the premier industry body joined hands to celebrate the ‘Year of Zayed’. United under the umbrella of Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group, the gold and jewellery industry collectively distributed over 5000 lapel pins with (H.H late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s image engraved on it) to the jewellery store owners and staff across Dubai.
2018 is a landmark year for UAE as it is the 100th year since the birth of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founding Father of the UAE. To commemorate this historic national occasion, 2018 is officially known as the Year of Zayed in the UAE.
To rejoice an important occasion of this stature, the gold and jewellery industry professionals are encouraged to wear the pins during working hours and beyond. Under this collective effort, the industry aims to continue to honor the vision and legacy of late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group is organizing several events to celebrate the ‘Year of Zayed’; commenting on the success of the initiative, Tawhid Abdullah, Chairman of the Group said “The Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group truly believes in the values of the Year of Zayed, which reflect in the enterprises carried out by the Group. We are honored to be the first private sector to jointly celebrate such a landmark year. Over 5000 jewellery professionals in Dubai will be wearing the lapel pins throughout the year. The pins will help to induct several tourists and residents about the relevance of and the message of ‘Year of Zayed’ while they shop in Dubai.
