WiFi UAE launches new price plans for users giving more choice and better value to high-speed WiFi
Dubai, UAE, 22 February 2018: UAE residents can now reap the benefits of more flexible WiFi options across more locations than ever before with WiFi UAE. du is revamping its WiFi UAE pricing options to suit the needs of different profile users in a wide variety of locations, continuing to support the goal of making Dubai a smart city as part of the UAE Vision 2021.
With Premium high-speed internet access on-the-go at over 400 hotspots around the UAE, WiFi UAE creates millions of connections nationally, providing the option of fast browsing, large file download and upload, and use of bandwidth-intensive applications that are imperative for many users. This revamp will help those users get the most out of their WiFi by enabling video streaming, social media, and a media-rich browsing experience by introducing short-term duration packages. This will mean a better value for the customer, and will better match their individual needs.
Jihad Tayara, Vice President Business Development and Partnerships, du said: “With the constant increase of new users, we are revamping our pricing options to meet their demands. In spirit of this, we will be running a 3-month promotion on our WiFi packages. Our free WiFi will continue to offer reliable internet connection, and will be unchanged by this revamp, but now users will have the choice to benefit from flexible WiFi packages which will offer high-speed internet access for all of their online needs. Users will be able to pay with their UAE/GCC credit cards, or du Recharge Cards, making it quick and easy to get online.”
Initially launched in 2015, WiFi UAE is built on a freemium model, offering two types of access. The first is free access, but with limited speed; and the second is Premium WiFi, offering high-speed access for a specified payment. Now, with the introduction of the new price plans , instead of just having options for 3 days or 7 days, there will now be options for 1, 3, and 10 days, offering more flexibility and allowing short-term visitors and casual users to match their internet with their unique needs. The new pricing will be; AED 10 for 4 hours over the course of a day, AED 25 for 12 hours over a 3 day period, and AED 50 for 32 hours access over 10 days. With these new pricing options, customers will be getting better value for their money, as they will be able to connect for more hours per AED, whilst also having the option to opt for the smaller value purchase.
du has introduced WiFi UAE in a number of high footfall areas including RTA serviced areas such as the Dubai Metro and Tram, Malls, Emaar Boulevard, Downtown Dubai and Global Village, to name a few. It provides fast and free access to all government websites and apps. Whether you need WiFi access for business or personal use, you can avail du’s premium WiFi services regardless of your network provider. All you need to access the premium WiFi service is a UAE mobile number and a WiFi-capable device. This includes smartphones, laptops, tablets, gaming devices and more.
