Ministry of Health and Prevention signs agreement with South Korean medical group as part of human capacity development

UAE, October 30, 2017- The Ministry of Health and Prevention has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CBC International, at Sharjah Training and Development Center to jointly build international educational programs for healthcare professionals in Ministry-run hospitals and hold a series of international seminars in South Korea.

The MoU was signed by H.E. Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, the Ministry's Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services, and Osama Yassin, Regional Director of CBC International - Middle East and North Africa, in the presence of Saqr Al Hemeiri, Director of the Training and Development Center, and Dr. Khalil Ibrahim, Advisor to the Center for Training and Development.

The agreement stipulates that the doctors and other health practitioners from the UAE will participate in hospital training programs and join international conferences yearly in South Korea for educational purposes. It covers a number of prestigious local hospitals, including Asan Medical Center, Ajou University Hospital, Halim University Medical Center (Hanjarn Sikard Hospital), Severance Hospital, Seoul National University Hospital, and Chungnam National University Hospital

H.E. Al Ketbi said that the MoU will strengthen cooperative frameworks between UAE and South Korean health institutions to train medical staff and technical personnel in accordance with the best practices, attend international conferences for educational purposes, and expand local and international partnerships to improve the local and global healthcare systems. Their collaboration is part of the Ministry's strategy to deliver comprehensive and integrated healthcare services in innovative and sustainable ways to bring happiness to the people.
