Dubai, UAE, July 5, 2017: Skyline University College English Language Center (ELC) in collaboration with Sharjah Education Council has organized a 5-day IELTS Workshop termed as “Insights into IELTS” on June 11-15, 2017 at SUC Multi-Purpose Hall. More than 125 students have registered online to attend the free workshop.
SUC ELC Head, Dr. Victoria Verna gave a thorough orientation about the test format and the techniques of IELTS and conducted classes to students along with SUC ELT faculty from General Education Dr. Taleb Bilal Eli and ELT part time faculty Mr. Soheil. Mrs. Amna Mohammed Alhammadi, Sharjah Education Council Director of Educational Operations also visited on the third day of the workshop to oversee the progress of the event.
The workshop helped the candidates with test format, preparation techniques, and time management skills. At the last day of the workshop, a mock test for the students was administered to give a feel of the real exam and for students to apply what they have learned during the 5-day training.
SUC organizes many workshops for the benefit of local schools and corporates as a part of its academic pursuit. One such workshop is the IELTS Workshop, which is freely offered to the school students. IELTS is one of the admission requirements of the Ministry of Education Approved and Accredited Universities in the UAE.
