Ministry of Health and Prevention Undersecretary Visits Al Madam Health Center in Sharjah

UAE, May 10, 2017- As part of the Ministry of Health and Prevention’s commitment to provide distinguished health services to the UAE community, Undersecretary H.E. Dr. Mohamed Salim Al Olama recently visited Al Madam Health Center in Sharjah along with H.E. Dr. Youssif Al Serkal, Assistant Undersecretary for the Ministry of Health and Prevention’s Hospitals Sector. The visit was one of the Ministry’s regular field trips being organized to check the efficiency of local health centers.
The center’s Director and medical staff welcomed the Ministry officials. H.E. Dr. Al Olama led the tour of the health facility’s reception area as well as the laboratory, radiology, and pharmaceutical departments. He checked the medical and pharmaceutical equipment and took a closer look at its pool of human resources. The Undersecretary also met with several patients to get their feedback on the quality of the center’s services, pointing out that the provision of medical services to the community should be done in an appropriate manner according to the Ministry’s standards.
He praised the center for its progress and impressive performance, adding that the Ministry prioritizes continuous healthcare improvement in line with its strategic goals of refining the work flow in the local health sector, improving healthcare facilities, and ensuring easy access to services according to international standards.
H.E. Dr. Al Olama said: “Our aim is to provide efficient and modern health sector, with the Ministry ensuring the delivery of healthcare services according to the highest quality standards. We still need to improve our pharmaceutical department and modernize our dental services in line with the latest standards. Additionally, we will provide essential tools and create an environment that will motivate medical employees to do their best to attend to the needs of their increasing number of patients. The center is opened round-the-clock in response to the region’s special requirements.”
The Madame Health Center in Al Dhaid provides a wide range of medical services, including general conditions, emergency cases, child health and immunizations, health education, pre-marital testing, elderly homecare, and fitness examination for university students.
