The new Speech Lab at the Dubai Autism Center will be equipped with the state-of-the-art clinical applications of high technology to effectively and efficiently identify and deal with different aspects of speech and language pathology, disorders, assessment, diagnosis and therapy.
Rashed Al Ansari, General Manager, Al Ansari Exchange, said: “Al Ansari Exchange continues to support various local and international philanthropic organizations in their bid to help people with special needs and underprivileged members of the community. Dubai Autism Center is doing an exceptional job not only by rehabilitating autistic children to integrate them in the society but also creating social awareness about the syndrome. We are hopeful that the new Speech Lab will help children with autism learn how to communicate more effectively.
“We are thankful to Al Ansari Exchange for making a generous donation towards the construction of the Speech Lab at Dubai Autism Center. The laboratory will be helpful in more accurate assessment and diagnosis of children with autism with new equipment and technologies. We will bring in a complete range of speech instrumentation which will enable objective assessment of voice disorders as well as used in various therapies to provide visual feedback and reinforcement to the patient,” concluded Mohammed Al Emadi, Director General and Board Member, Dubai Autism Center.
