Emirates Post issues stamps featuring the symbols of National Program for Happiness and Positivity

To boost happiness and positivity on International Happiness Day

Dubai, March 20, 2017:  Emirates Post Group has issued a set of commemorative stamps that feature 8 designs included in the National Program for Happiness and Positivity: the sun, UAE flag, smiling face, family and friends, the sea, the date palm, the cloud and the flower.

Her Excellency Ohood Khalfan Al Roumi, UAE Minister of State for Happiness, lauded Emirates Post Group’s initiative of issuing the commemorative stamps, which capture the vision of the UAE government to spread the culture of happiness and positivity in UAE society.

She said such creative initiatives enhance interaction among people and spread happiness and positive values to enable converting government agencies into happiness departments through policies, programs and working environment, and delivering quality services to customers in order to achieve happiness of the community, which is the basic role of government work.

Emirates Post Group released the commemorative stamps to mark the International Happiness Day, which is celebrated on March 20 every year, during a program organized by the National Program of Happiness and Positivity and Emirates Post Group, in the main lobby of Emirates Towers, where postcards and stamps were distributed to staff and visitors of Emirates Towers, to enable them to drop them in a special postbox with personalized messages to their loved ones and friends in the UAE and around the world, with free delivery by Emirates Post.

Acting CEO of Emirates Post Group Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Alashram said the release of the ‘Happiness and Positivity’ stamps is in line with the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, as part of government-led projects and policies promoting happiness and positivity in the community. Emirates Post is happy to support these initiatives, and endorses the idea of the logo designs created imaginatively by the children of the UAE. 

“Emirates Post Group aims to spread happiness and positivity concepts locally and internationally, through these special stamps that highlight the role of the National Program for Happiness and Positivity, as postage stamps are a great channel for cross-cultural outreach, covering different countries, individuals and civilizations across the globe,” he added. 

The commemorative stamps portray eight different logo designs based on the theme "happiness and positivity in the eyes of UAE children", and also include souvenir sheets and postcards.
