For third consecutive year, Empower is awarded Dubai Chamber CSR Label

Dubai, UAE, 1 March 2017:  Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world’s largest district cooling services provider, has been awarded the Dubai Chamber CSR Label for the third consecutive year, in recognition of the company’s social initiatives which seek to raise social and environmental awareness among its employees, clients and the whole society.

“Empower’s social commitment is inspired by the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, who directs all national organisations and corporates to put the social responsiveness at the core of their strategies and plans. We at Empower are always keen to build our operational policy on the foundations of efficiency and sustainability, and we believe that practising our social responsibility should be an essential part of our current and future plans. We are very pleased to be awarded this prestigious label for the third consecutive year. It recognises our efforts to create a positive impact on our society which helps fulfilling our leadership’s vision to achieve sustainable development and green economy by saving natural resources, preserving energy and water and contributing to the well-being of the society,” said HE Ahmad Bin Shafar. 

According to Dubai Chamber, the CSR Label provides communication tools to show corporations’ commitment to social responsibility by reviewing their social strategies. Dubai Chamber CSR Label aims to build a responsible and sustainable business community. Those companies that win this label gain the trust of customers and society.

“Empower’s agenda embraces many social initiatives that target customers, employees and community. The company is also keen to participate in social activities of different authorities and corporates. All these activities are part of Empower’s social policy which aims to contribute to Dubai Plan 2021 and UAE Energy Strategy 2050. These activities focus on saving energy and raising customer awareness of the importance of energy efficiency, while educating customers of the importance of green energy. Empower not only organises and participates in these social activities, but also evaluates the results among the target groups to ensure that our initiatives meet their objectives, which will lead eventually to social development that comes in line with the company’s commercial success,” concluded H.E Bin Shafar.
