Jafza organises recreational day for workers

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, December 27, 2016:  Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), a DP World Company and the UAE’s flagship trade and logistics hub for the Middle East region and Africa, organised a day of entertainment, activities and informative sessions for workers residing in its on-site residences. 

The ‘Workers’ Day’, attended by over 2,000 workers, included  a series of lectures ranging from Labour Rights Awareness by the Permanent Committee for Labour Affairs, Road Safety Awareness by the Road and Transport Authority, Health and Safety Awareness by the Environment, Health And Safety Authority  (Trakhees), Health Check-ups by CEDARS Hospital and a host of recreational activities. Ibrahim Mohammed Al Janahi, Deputy CEO and Chief Commercial Officer and other senior officials at Jafza attended the event.  

Ms. Fatma Hussein, Senior Manager-Corporate Social Responsibility at Jafza, said: “Employee welfare has been one of our prime areas of focus and providing a comfortable living environment for staff is an important element in the overall development of the free zone. Workers’ Day is an annual event and a key part of our corporate social responsibility, organised for employees of our customers to appreciate their efforts and contribution to the success of the free zone.”
