Stars of Turkish TV Series Hareem Al Sultan in Dubai for Exhibition Dedicated to Hit Show
Last Update: Monday, November 28, 2016 : 09:15 (+4GMT)
Fans of hit Turkish television series Hareem Al Sultan headed down to Dubai’s City Walk late last week to rub shoulders with two of the shows most popular characters: Ottoman military commander Bali Bey, played by Turkish actor Burak Ozcivit, and Hürrem Sultana, played by award-winning Turkish-German actress Meryem Uzerli. The stars were in town to attend Hareem Al Sultan: The Exhibition, an exhibition featuring memorabilia from the show including its costumes and accessories.
Also joining Ozcivit and Uzerli on the red carpet was actress Meltem Cumbul who played the Sultan’s sister Fatma Sultan, and the show’s producer Timur Savci. Featuring more than 500 accessories and 100 costumes recreated from the show, the exhibition is also designed to offer a look into history.
Loosely based on the reign of 16th-century Ottoman sultan, Suleiman the Magnificent, the programme’s four-season run – from 2011 to 2014 – was an immediate hit with regional viewers.
Hareem Al Sultan: The Exhibition is open seven days a week at City Walk, from noon to 10pm, until December 2016.
