Quelle heure est-il chez vous? A modern novel

" Quelle heure est-il chez vous? " is a novel that has a special significance. From its title, the book evokes the notion of one’s self, individual opinion and relativism. Throughout this book, which consists of 24 short stories symbolizing the 24 hours of the day, the author introduces the reader to 24 touching and endearing characters. Each character is more or less attached to Lebanon, where each experiences moments of happiness or sadness through situations that every one of us is likely to encounter someday.

The book presents one main character, ELLE, a young girl who is much attached to Lebanon and its culture and who holds in her the main theme of this novel. The various encounters she has made during her short life of 27 years, whether fictitious or real, (concerned will recognize themselves with no doubt) will change her way of seeing things and she will show this through philosophical support based on contemporary thinkers as Frédéric Lenoir, Paulo Coelho and many others.
Caroline Torbey, with her modern writing, concretized this literary project in a period of her life when everything seemed gloomy, dark. This is something that everyone experiences in their life. For some, fortunately only once. For others, unfortunately with redundancy. Whoever is happy is always well surrounded and reciprocity is indisputable.

Author’s biography:
With a French mother of Vietnamese-German origins and a Lebanese father, Caroline Torbey was born in Enghien-les-Bains (France) in 1988. After spending both of her childhood and adolescence in Douala, Cameroon, where she attended the French School Dominic Savio, she moved to Beirut where her family is established.
With a degree in Political Science and strong altruism, she began a career in public relations which moved her between Paris, Dubai and Beirut.
Passionate about writing, she decided to publish this first novel: "Quelle heure est-il chez vous ? " upon her return to Lebanon in 2016
