Wurtzbach to host interactive fan experience at city’s newest destination
Dubai, UAE, November 10, 2016: Dragon Mart 2, Dubai’s newest retail, dining, entertainment and leisure destination, is gearing up to host Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach during her first visit to the emirate.
Wurtzbach will host a free-to-attend lifestyle event at Dragon Mart 2 at 6pm on Friday, 18 November where she will share fashion and beauty tips followed by a meet-and-greet with competition winners. The event will take place at the main atrium of Dragon Mart 2 which has over 1,000 shops, cafes, restaurants and entertainment outlets.
Pia Wurtzbach made history on 20 December 2015, when she became the 64th Miss Universe and third woman from the Philippines to claim the title. Her highly-anticipated visit to Dragon Mart 2 has already gained unprecedented excitement, particularly from the half a million Filipinos living in Dubai who are proud of their home grown hero. Pia’s crowning at the pageant was one of the most talked-about moments in live television history when she was initially announced as the first runner up.
Prior to winning the crown, Pia was a stylist and writer for the lifestyle section of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, a leading newspaper in her country. The visit to Dragon Mart 2 is especially fitting for Wurtzbach as she is passionate about the fashion and beauty industry. “I’m so excited about my first trip to the region and can’t wait to see the city and meet the people,” says Wurtzbach. I’ve heard a lot about the iconic buildings and all that Dubai has to offer and can’t wait to experience it for myself”
Dragon Mart 2 is offering fans a chance to meet Wurtzbach with competitions on their official Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages.
