Best-selling author and visionary Malcolm Gladwell to address industry professionals
Dubai, UAE, October 13, 2016: As the regional Human Resources (HR) landscape grows, develops and adapts to global trends, the 13th edition of HR Summit and Expo - the Middle East’s biggest and most innovative HR event – will explore how regional companies need to look beyond traditional models and reinvent HR on increasingly sophisticated people management principles.
Addressing the key challenges faced by HR professionals, the HR Summit and Expo 2016 will explore various geopolitical and socioeconomic factors re-shaping the regional HR industry when it returns to Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre from November 14-16.
Organised by Informa, the global exhibitions, conferences and events leader, and held under the theme The New Rules of Engagement in a New Age of HR, the tailored platform for HR professionals is expected to attract more than 100 exhibitors from across the Middle East, Europe and Asia, showcasing the latest products and solutions from the industry.
With two new summits focusing on employee engagement and talent management, this year’s learning and networking-centric event will welcome 125 globally-renowned speakers sharing insights, strategies, industry innovations and international best practices with an anticipated 4000 plus visitors.
“Human Resources is an increasingly complex function in the ultra-competitive landscape that regional businesses find themselves operating in; with so many automated and digital processes becoming commonplace, firms face unprecedented challenges in keeping people at the core of their organisations,” said Hoda Abdelhay, Show Director, HR Summit and Expo.
“We strive to support industry professionals in advancing their careers and our extensive professional development programme features a plethora of HR heads, C-level executives, inspirational gurus, as well as abundant networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities.”
Headlining the guru sessions is Malcolm Gladwell, an inspirational leader, visionary, public speaker and best-selling author of The Tipping Point, Blink, Outliers, What the Dog Saw, and the recent David and Goliath: Underdogs, Misfits and the Art of Battling Giant.
Joining Gladwell, at the HR Summit and Expo 2016 are Dave Ulrich, the world’s most influential HR thinker who will present a session on Transforming HR: What HR Departments do to Deliver Value and What are the Competencies for HR to Create Value; and Peter Cappelli, Professor at Wharton Business School, who will discuss Talent Management: What it Takes to Attract Top Talent.
The event will also feature 10 masterclasses with certifications from the USA’s Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the UK’s Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the industry’s two leading professional bodies, as well as more than 60 free-to-attend practical seminars across seven HR learning tracks.
Furthermore, running parallel to the event will be the Middle East HR Excellence Awards, which will acknowledge and celebrate top regional employers, HR teams and individuals, while an all-new, dedicated HR tech seminar room with engaging formats and content will encourage interaction among HR peers and colleagues.
Key sponsors of the HR Summit and Expo include CEB Middle East, Civilsoft, Daman, Henley Business School and The Wharton School as Headline sponsors; FrankilnCovey as the Strategic Partner; Cubiks as Platinum sponsor; CIPD and Halogen Software as Gold sponsors; and HGS MENA and Thunderbird School of Global Management as Silver sponsors.
The HR Summit and Expo 2016 will be open from 10am – 5pm from 14 – 16 November 2016 at Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
