Plans focus on creating a highly-efficient, solutions based approach for achieving the sustainability and growth vision of the region
Dubai, October 9th, 2016: Dulsco, a regional leader in human resource and waste management solutions stated that the focus by GCC Governments on infrastructure and other sustainability projects will drive the next phase of growth in its core business areas. As per reports published during the recently concluded Big 5 show, over AED 190 billion is being directed towards such massive developments. The bulk of these investments are being channeled towards infrastructure projects, in addition to educational institutions, residential and commercial establishments, theme parks, hotels, hospitals, and other public utility projects.
Dulsco is currently gearing up to ride the next economic growth wave and has strengthened its management team by appointing David Stockton as its new Managing Director and Mahdi Mohamad as the Director of Institutional Support & Government and Corporate Affairs. David will be driving the growth of the 12,000-employee company across UAE, Qatar and spearheading the entry into other GCC countries.
“Despite the current oil price situation, the GCC governments have gone ahead with their respective infrastructure projects and that is definitely keeping the economy on the move. As a result, we are seeing a strong demand for both our core businesses in the medium and long term. The upcoming mega events such as EXPO2020 in Dubai and FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022, will further add impetus to the regional growth wave,” stated David Stockton.
Waste management, a core business area for Dulsco is witnessing major focus from the public and private sector alike. Total waste generated in the GCC, according to a study recently released by Frost & Sullivan, is likely to increase from 94 million tonnes in 2015 to 120 million by 2020. While the waste generation is increasing, the region is continuing its thrust on ensuring sustainable management of this waste. UAE is playing a major role and setting an example to reach the goal of ‘zero waste’ to landfill. ‘Sustainability’ forms the heart of Abu Dhabi’s 2030 vision as well.
“Abu Dhabi and Dubai have been recently ranked as the two most sustainable cities in the Middle East region. This reinforces Dulsco’s efforts of working with the public and private entities to align with and support the sustainability goals. Dulsco has a highly experienced waste management solutions team and we are currently working on some prestigious projects with the focused objective of achieving maximum diversion of waste from the landfill,” concluded David.
Growth in the areas of travel, tourism, trade exhibitions, theme parks and localized manufacturing are all set to boost the HR requirements. Organizations in these sectors are seeking reliable solutions that completely adhere to local laws. Dulsco is geared to support these requirements with over 50 categories of trained and talented resources like cashiers, promoters, ushers, hostesses, backend support staff, front office executives, data entry operators, fork lift operators, loaders, helpers and drivers among others.
“We are preparing the organization for the next growth wave through various internal initiatives that will fast track our journey towards continuous and consistent business excellence. Our people will be the driving force in this journey and we want to make Dulsco a truly great place to work, learn and grow,” said Mahdi Mohamad.
