Dubai, UAE, September 25th, 2016: Trade exhibitions related to technology, real estate, education, healthcare and upcoming themeparks are all set to boost the temporary staff requirements as per Dulsco, a regional leader in human resources and waste management. UAE is one of the most sought after destination in the Middle East for the MICE sector (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions). As per reports, Dubai is a key MICE destination ranked among the top 10 most popular business destinations, currently attracting 27 percent of events staged in the region.
“To keep up with the pace, companies hire resources to support them through the busy events season. With increase in trade and investment opportunities, Dubai’s preparation for Expo 2020 and Abu Dhabi looking to leap into the top 50 busiest global meetings destination in next 5 years, UAE’s events industry is witnessing significant growth levels. Business events, trade exhibitions, arts and music festivals, film festivals, concerts, sports tournaments will keep the country’s events calendar busy till the next summer,” said Prakash Parab, Director HR Solutions, Dulsco.
As per reports, GCC’s MICE segment is now worth billions of dollars. The Middle East and especially the UAE is turning into a highly lucrative and favorable destination for global industry meetings as well. With large number of events taking place in the UAE, the events season will be a busy period for retail, logistics, FMCG, themeparks, healthcare, banking, technology and others industries.
“The demand for temporary staff has increased substantially over the years in the UAE as exhibitors from various industries from across the globe are currently sourcing qualified and experienced support staff for their forthcoming events. Major business events in the region have evolved due to various encouraging factors including an expansive business community, increasing population and flourishing key industries such as technology, real estate, tourism amongst others,” added Prakash.
“As the cost of hiring new employees in terms of time and money is far greater than hiring a temporary employee for short term, this demand will only continue to grow more. A big volume of this demand belongs to the job categories such as receptionists, secretaries, administrative staff and document controllers and promoters. The demand for temporary staffing solutions during the events season has become inevitable,” said Prakash.
The company provides qualified and skilled talent across various categories like cashiers, promoters, ushers, backend support staff, hostesses, loaders, helpers and drivers. Apart from this, Dulsco also supports the event industry with on-site medical kiosks, first aid, emergency & evacuation support, recycling and waste management support.
“Dulsco ensures that the temporary staff candidates meet all the necessary legal requirements for working in the UAE and they have the required skill set for the job. Additionally, deployment at large events are supported by our qualified on ground events coordination crew. This is definitely viewed as a value addition by most of our clients,” concluded Prakash.
UAE is all set to make up 90% of Middle East leisure tourism market by 2020 as 4 new major theme parks are expected to open in UAE thus generating temporary and permanent job positions. A record 54,000 hotel rooms are slated to open in the UAE in the coming two years which is going to keep hospitality industry in the country occupied, as per reports. All these factors are conducive to the growth of events season and the corresponding requirement for temporary staffing solutions that will unfold in the coming period.
