A CSR initiative to give back to the community during Ramadan
Dubai, UAE, June 27, 2016: As part of its corporate social responsibility outreach, Sony Mobile Communications is proud to announce the sponsorship of 3 children from Rashid Pediatric Centre.
Gita Ghaemmaghami, Regional Marketing Communications Manager Middle East and Africa, stated: “Community engagement is one of the pillars of Sony Mobile’s CSR strategy. In the eve of Ramadan, we are committed to giving back to the community and the less fortunate. We are happy to help children develop and through our sponsorship we aim to raise the standard and quality of children’s learning experiences.”
In line with its core brand values, Sony Mobile’s aims to engage with the community and support the children at Rashid Pediatric Centre by ensuring their utmost development and helping them acquire the abilities to enable them to reintegrate into the community.
Rashid Pediatric Centre, inaugurated in 1994, provides high quality, integrated education services and therapies for children with special needs, with the purpose of developing children’s abilities to function and learn within their environments.
Mariam Othman, Director of Rashid Pediatric Centre, said “through this initiative we seek to help children with special needs develop and integrate into society as independently as possible. We are happy to see Sony’s commitment to our community and we look forward to further collaborations with them.”
Sony has long been engaging in social contribution activities under the phrase of “For the Next Generation”. By engaging in Community Investment projects like this one, Sony Mobile is eager to experience how smartphone technology can have a positive impact on people, communities, society and the environment.
