Dubai, UAE, May 24, 2016: Known for her ‘new couture’ creations, ingeniously combining elements from her cultural identity with both manual and mechanical craftsmanship, Emirati designer Maryam Al Omaira has now set out to create two new fine jewellery collections.
The Fortress Collection
The Fortress Collection took root after she designed a piece of jewellery as a gift to her mom for Mother’s Day. Forts known to represent strength, protection and security also reminded Maryam of her mother.
Uniquely shaped like the iconic Emirati fortresses that possess incomparable architecture and rich history, modern and completely wearable rings, bracelets and necklaces are exquisitely crafted from gold and silver.
The Eclipse Collection
An offshoot of Maryam’s FW15 couture collection, Eclipse takes after the phenomenon of obscuring light from one celestial body to another creating sheer luminescence and radical contours evident in the lavish, monochromatic jewellery pieces.
About Maryam Al Omaira

Since launching her eponymous label in 2012, Maryam has garnered recognition from the region including being a finalist at the ‘Who is On Next?’ competition as part of Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience 2015 hosted by Vogue Italia and Emaar.
