Dubai, UAE, May 21, 2016: Rituals Cosmetics has opened its first store in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Dubai’s luxury Mall of Emirates (MOE) as part of its expansion plan in the Middle East. A second mall will follow in Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi in May 2016. The story of Rituals started in 1999 when Raymond Cloosterman, founder and CEO of Rituals, decided to create a global beauty and lifestyle brand. “At Rituals we are passionate about enriching life with beautiful things. We are not just another cosmetics brand. Our extensive collection of beautifully designed products is inspired by ancient Eastern traditions which help encourage a well balanced lifestyle. International expansion remains important for Rituals and we are thrilled to launch the brand in the United Arab Emirates. We strongly believe the Middle East market has a strong potential for Rituals and we are excited to open more stores in the region.”
Rituals Cosmetics is the first brand in the world to combine Home & Body Cosmetics. With a wide product line including body care, skin care, precious mineral make-up, pure tea, scented candles and fragrance sticks, the brand transforms every day routines into more meaningful moments. Each product, over 400 in total, is inspired by an ancient Eastern tradition. Today, the luxury lifestyle brand holds over 400 stores, more than 1300 shop-in-shops and 4 City spas in 25 countries worldwide. Rituals Cosmetics has also seen a rapid expansion in duty free, airline, cruise liners and ferries as well as hotels.
The story of RITUALS originally started in Paris in 1999 when Raymond Cloosterman, founder and CEO of RITUALS, decided to create a global beauty and lifestyle brand. “At RITUALS we are passionate about enriching life with beautiful things. We are not just another cosmetics brand. Our extensive collection of beautifully designed products is inspired by ancient Eastern traditions which help encourage a well balanced lifestyle. That is why we are thrilled to be launching RITUALS in UAE, so UAE residents can now also enjoy our philosophy of finding happiness in the smallest of things and transforming everyday routines into more meaningful moments.”
The opening of the very first store in Amsterdam in 2000 was followed by openings in vibrant cities such as London, Madrid, Antwerp, Paris, Lisbon, Berlin, Stockholm, São Paulo and New York. Looking at the successful development of the brand in most recent markets, such as Germany with 100 stores in 6 years and 400 Shop in Shops, with renowned partners such as Karstadt, Kaufhof and Douglas, RITUALS has strong ambitions regarding its expansion plan. Today, the luxury lifestyle brand holds over 350 stores, more than 1000 shop-in-shops and 4 City Spas in 21 countries worldwide. RITUALS Cosmetics has also seen a rapid expansion in duty free, airline, cruise liners and ferries as well as hotels and is sold on or supplied by 17 different airlines.
In 2016, RITUALS Cosmetics will conquer UAE with strong and ambitious expectations for this territory. “Over the past 10 years, RITUALS has become one of the fastest growing luxury brands in Europe. We strongly believe that the UAE market has a great potential for RITUALS” says Raymond Cloosterman. The first RITUALS boutique will open its doors in Mall of the Emirates, Dubai followed by Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi in May 2016. The shopping environment embodies the characteristic RITUALS philosophy and will truly give you the ultimate slow shopping experience and an insight of what RITUALS Cosmetics has to offer.
