Dubai Health Authority pays tribute to workers on Labour Day

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, May 1 2016: The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) marked today International Labour Day by holding an appreciation ceremony to thank labourers working with the Authority for their dedication and their contribution to the success of the organisation.
International Workers Day or Labour Day, takes place on May 1 every year to celebrate and recognise the efforts of the labour force.
His Excellency Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board and Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) addressed more than 200 labourers at a felicitation ceremony, which took place at the Rashid Medical Library.
The ceremony was organised by the Authority’s Human Resources Department to honour labourers including cleaners, messengers, air condition technicians’ etc. working with the Authority.
“Celebrating the International Workers’ Day reflects our gratefulness to the workers for their dedication and commitment,” said Al Qatami. “Such initiatives are crucial to demonstrate our appreciation for the work that they undertake.”
At the end of the felicitation ceremony, workers received gifts and a certificate of appreciation.
