Monitoring feedback and comments from medical professionals plays key role in efforts to improve services of the Ministry of Health and Prevention, says H.E. Dr. Amin Al Amiri

UAE, April 28 2016 - His Excellency (H.E.) Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Policy and Licensing of the Ministry of Health & Prevention, recently held a meeting with select customers and employees at the Ministry’s offices in Dubai as part of its ‘Ya Marhaba Bkom’ initiative, which aims to ensure that all administrative services are conducted in accordance with set international standards on quality, efficiency and transparency—playing a key role in the Ministry’s continuing efforts to increase its customer satisfaction rates and maintain the happiness of UAE people.
The MOHAP Undersecretary shared that the meeting demonstrates the Ministry's move to implement the happiness index initiative for its customers and employees. He added that the 'Ya Marhaba Bkom' project will play an essential role in monitoring the level of satisfaction of both the Ministry's staff and the customers that they serve, which in turn, is expected to result in stronger communication channels and improved interaction. MOHAP has placed strong focus on the wellbeing and development of its employees as it relies on their administrative and scientific capabilities. In line with this, the Ministry has set set major goals and initiatives clearly consistent with the aspirations of the leadership for the advancement of health services in all regions of the country.
During the meeting, Dr. Al Amiri listened to feedback and insight given by some of the country's medical professionals, who have shared their perspectives on timely issues like the UAE’s scientific appraisal process, qualification examinations to practice private medicine, ethics of the medical profession and the issuance of medical assessment certifications from other developed countries.
Dr. Al Amiri also met with a team of health inspectors from Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah and listened to their recommendations and suggestions on how to improve and enhance health inspection protocols. He noted that the Ministry is keen on the development of laws and regulations for the conduct of medical professionals and the necessary guidelines for the control and inspection of private medical facilities to ensure compliance with set standards and regulations. Dr. Al Amiri also shared that MOHAP will implement strict sanctions on those found to be in violation of these laws and regulations, which were developed to help protect and ensure the health and rights of patients.
He also met with management of health ads to discuss proposals submitted to apply health system announcements and praised the efforts of the administration in finding a health declaration that is scientifically credible and provide health services commensurate with the qualifications of the applicants and improve level of health ads that respects ethics of the medical profession and health declarations and observance of religious, cultural and moral heritage of the UAE.
