Emirates Post Group and Dubai Statistics Center Sign MoU for Sharing Data

Dubai,UAE - April 25, 2016: Emirates Post Group and Dubai Statistics Center recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote exchange of statistical data and use it more effectively for mutual benefit.

The MoU was signed by the Executive Director of Dubai Statistics Center Mr. Arif Obaid Al Muhairi, and Acting CEO of Emirates Post Group Mr. Fahad Al Hosani, in the presence of EPG Chief Commercial Officer Mr. Ibrahim Bin Karam and senior officials from both sides.

According to the MoU, both parties will exchange information and statistical data for the Emirate of Dubai, according to their specific requirements. Dubai Statistics Center will provide statistical support to Emirates Post Group in designing and conducting statistical surveys and opinion polls, in addition to offering consultancy in the field of statistical studies and research related to the working of Emirates Post Group.

Mr. Al Hosani added: “Emirates Post Group is pleased to join hands with Dubai Statistics Centre to share Mr. Fahad Al Hosani stressed the importance of cooperation with government organizations with the goal of supporting development in the emirate, and added that on the basis of this agreement EPG will facilitate sharing of statistical data and information flow to support the Center’s role of providing critical data.

Data and information on a mutual basis. We will extend all cooperation to Dubai Statistics Center to enable it to play its role as a key player in gathering accurate information and compiling it systematically to help boost the economy.”

Mr. Arif Obaid Al Muhairi said the Center was very happy to enter into a partnership with Emirates Post Group,  which is in line with the Center’s goal of strengthening strategic partnerships with government agencies, with the aim of serving the emirate more efficiently and helping decision makers to take informed decisions based on accurate statistical data.

These sources of data and statistics are the basis of planning and decision making by the government leadership and business community. Our statistical information and databases also support academic activity and scientific research, and all those who are interested in statistical information in the emirate of Dubai,” Mr. Al Muhairi added.
