DUBAI, UAE, 7th March, 2016—As part of its continued focus to better serve customers and to increase market share in high-speed production scanning, Kodak Alaris has acquired the Integrated Document Solutions – Capturing Systems Germany division (IDS-CSG) of Swiss Post Solutions (SPS). The acquisition, effective the 11th of January, marks an important step for Kodak Alaris as it rolls out a wider solutions strategy and significantly increases its capacity to sell ibml scanners to the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) markets.
The move will see SPS employees join the Kodak Alaris Information Management division. Existing SPS customers will be added to Kodak Alaris’ base of Input Management Solutions customers. These solutions include highly automated processes for digitisation, capture and electronic allocation of paper documents.
Kodak Alaris’ breadth of knowledge will grow with this acquisition through the onboarding of highly skilled managers, consultants, and engineers with expertise across the scanner arena. The deal also includes service contracts worth several million per year for Kodak Alaris.
“This acquisition is a great example of our commitment to further expand and invest in the EAMER region” says Erwin Schwarzl, Managing Director Europe, Africa, Middle Eastern Region Kodak Alaris Information Management. “Capture solutions are increasingly important and now we have an excellent new opportunity to work with partners to deliver solutions for the most demanding information management projects.”
