Jaeger-LeCoultre in the City
Last Update: Tuesday, February 16, 2016 : 13:55 (+4GMT)
Milestone timepieces from the luxury Swiss Manufacture, Jaeger-LeCoultre, have been captured on the wrists of three of influential residents of Dubai – Hassan Al Akhras, Zahra Lyla Khalil and Ahmad Daabas – around the beautiful city.
Dubai, UAE, February 16, 2016: An exceptional timepiece chosen for the shoot is the Master Calendar of Jaeger-LeCoultre - distinguished by the virtues and indeed the very face of astronomy. Endowed with all the attributes that have forged the success of this line, it is also imbued with a seductive appeal exercising its own laws of gravity, thanks to the choice of meteorite stone to compose its dial. Whether it comes to fragments from asteroids or of even more impalpable origins in the comets wandering through the solar system, meteorites lend themselves to all manner of inner fantasies. Their ages, estimated at millions or hundreds of millions of years, defy our imagination. Their rarity is equally fascinating, since very few of them actually manage to reach the surface of the earth. Known as “shooting stars” when they light up summer nights, or “bolides” when they are large or bright enough to be seen by day, meteorites leave a characteristic luminous trail when entering the atmosphere. An authentic invitation to make a wish…
Another timepiece on display around the beautiful city of Dubai is the Master Ultra Thin. To mark its 180th anniversary in 2011, the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre honoured its founder Antoine LeCoultre by dedicating an exceptional thin watch to his memory: the Master Ultra Thin Jubilee watch. This creation with its case measuring a mere 4.05 mm thin represents an extraordinary technical feat that makes it one of the slimmest watches in its category. In 2014, the Master Ultra Thin line welcomes two new models featuring a blend of mechanical perfection, elegance and the ultimate expression of horological minimalism: the Master Ultra Thin 1907 and the Master Ultra Thin Grand Feu.
The Rendez-Vous watch is a constant companion that sets the stage for daily living in a fascinatingly masterful and confident manner. Readable displays are a must for active women. Each item of information provided by the watch in its various models is simultaneously interpreted in terms of both functionality and pleasure. Witness the delicate expression of the day/night indicator, or the moon phase offering women a chance to live in step with the most feminine of all celestial bodies. Be it through ergonomic push-pieces ensuring fingertip friendly handling, or smoothly adjustable straps or bracelets, the constant concern for detail is dedicated to ensuring perfect osmosis between the watch and its wearer.
A fresh interpretation of the revolutionary Dual-Wing movement, the Duomètre Unique Travel Time watch in pink gold reflects the technical breakthroughs achieved by the Manufacture in the field of world-time watches and offers original solutions for travellers with a love of Fine Watchmaking. The Duomètre Unique Travel Time is the first world-time watch enabling to-the-minute adjustment of the second time zone. This enables travellers to accurately set the second time zone on all continents and countries regardless of the time difference. In keeping with the technical and aesthetic spirit of the creations by the Duomètre line signed Jaeger-LeCoultre, the Duomètre Unique Travel Time watch reveals the various facets of horological excellence by the Manufacture in the Vallée de Joux. It asserts itself as an absolute reference in terms of mechanical watchmaking and of the intrinsic elegance with which all creations from the Grande Maison have been imbued since 1833. Past, present and future converge in perfect harmony in this exceptional creation.
