2 December 2015: Department of Economic Development in Ajman celebrates the 44th UAE National Day

Ajman, United Arab Emirates: The Department of Economic Development in Ajman held a number of events in celebration of the 44th UAE National Day, at its headquarters and three customer service centers in Hamidiya, Masfoot, and Manama, as part of the country’s ceremonies on this occasion. The department and customer service centers were adorned with elegant decorations celebrating the Union, representing the national flag, and the rich UAE legacy. Celebrations were held in the presence of HE Ali Issa Al Nuaimi, Director General of the department, as well as departmental directors, section heads, and staff. It included a variety of activities starting with the UAE national anthem, followed by speeches by His Excellency the Director-General and a number of staff. Participants later enjoyed a traditional UAE breakfast in an atmosphere of joy and pride on this happy occasion. The event was also attended by the department’s clients, who expressed their joy over this special occasion.

HE Ali Issa Al Nuaimi said: On this dear occasion, we congratulate the wise UAE leadership represented by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Head of State, may God protect him; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, may God protect him; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces; their brothers Their Highnesses the Rulers of the Emirates and Crown Princes; and the people and residents of the United Arab Emirates. The celebrations are an expression of our great appreciation for the achievements of our wise leadership, and its quest to consolidate the distinctive, prestigious, and influential position of the state at various levels both regionally and globally. December the second represents the establishment of the Union, whose role has grown and expanded leading the country to its current prominence. The UAE has stood out among world states, thanks to its achievements in various fields. It has also attained an advanced position with regards to the role of women in the UAE, who have equally contributed to their country alongside men. The principles of moderation and tolerance have led the country to become a symbol of peaceful coexistence between different nationalities, while the economic openness made it an attractive destination for Arab and foreign investors.

"The course initiated by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his brothers is a glorious stage in the history of our country, during which all Emiratis stood together and defied hardships for the sake of unity. Therefore, we should seek to preserve this honorable history and pass it forward to future generations. The Union today is in good hands, those of leaders who have deep faith in their country, united with their people, and committed to assuming their responsibilities for the sake of the advancement of our country,” he added.
