In recognition of the sacrifices of the righteous martyrs of the homeland

Ajman, United Arab Emirates: Upon directives by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Head of State, to mark 30 November of each year as “Commemoration Day,” in recognition of the sacrifices of the righteous martyrs of the homeland, the Department of Economic Development in Ajman held "Commemoration Day" at its headquarters and three service centers in Hamidiya, Masfoot, and Manama. A minute of silent prayer for the souls of the martyrs was observed at 11:30 am, where the attendance prayed to the Almighty to grant mercy and forgiveness to the martyrs’ souls, and allow them to rest in peace.

This unified national stance in the country affirms the sense of pride and appreciation for the sacrifices of the martyrs of the UAE during the first observance of “Commemoration Day.” This day is devoted to asserting the pride and gratitude of the UAE leadership and the people for the sacrifices of the righteous martyrs who gave their pure souls.

This day is also an expression of support to the families of the martyrs, and sincere recognition of their genuine efforts in raising their children on the values of patriotism and sacrifice. The state sees them as a priority, stands with them, and will provide them with protection and care.

The department staff wrote messages to the martyrs in the "Martyrs Board” to express their sincere feelings toward them. The messages were displayed in the department buildings so their fragrant memory would remain alive.

On this occasion, HE Ali Issa Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department of Economic Development in Ajman, said: "With pride and honor, we observe the first anniversary of Commemoration Day, which is dedicated to the martyrs who sacrificed what they hold dearest to elevate the nation's flag and the word of truth. The righteous martyrs of the United Arab Emirates, with their sacrifice, represent the highest echelons of loyalty and sacrifice, inspired by our wise leadership represented by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God protect him.

"It is our duty to commemorate the martyrs of the nation, who will remain a source of pride and inspiration to us and future generations. With their pure blood, they represent the finest example of sacrifice, heroism, and dedication in the love and defense of their country. It is also our duty as a people to pay tribute to the important role assumed by the UAE Air Force, which is defending justice and obligation, protecting the homeland, and preserving the security of the region.
