Dubai, November 11, 2015: Emirates Post Group’s Strategy Department organised brainstorming workshops to exchange ideas on the revised EPG strategic plan for 2017-2021, attended by officials from various sectors, including Finance, Human Resources, Health and Safety, Operations, Commercial, Strategy, Audit and information Technology.
Two workshops were organised covering different aspects of the plan and its sustainability, with the goal of setting an integrated vision that would guide the Group over the next five years. The workshops discussed key performance indicators which will be used in the analysis of the current situation, before identifying the targets for 2021, through to the final declaration of their own goals and strategic initiatives later this year.
The second Phase will identify targets of quantity and quality of those initiatives, to reflect the aspirations of the ambitious strategy of the group, which in turn will be based on the current trends in developed countries, after taking into consideration the gaps and challenges along the way.
Acting EPG CEO, Mr. Fahad Al Hosani stressed that the strategic plan will serve as a roadmap for the Group as a whole for the next seven years, and added that employees from all levels were the key to achieving the set goals.
EPG Chief Commercial Officer Mr. Ibrahim Bin Karam commented that the 2017-2021 Strategic Plan’s goal was to implement the new ideas in all sectors and align them with the federal government's plans up to 2021.
“The workshops helped in identifying future trends and provided an opportunity for the participants to express their comments and assessment of the current performance to help develop the plan in the future. This was done through brainstorming, SWOT analysis and exchange of ideas,” added Mr. Bin Karam.
