Game Changing Honor 7 Launches in the Middle East

Dubai, October 19, 2015: Honor, the world’s no. 1 smartphone e-brand from Huawei, has officially launched its new Honor 7 device to the Middle East at AED 1,399 and is set to become Honor’s best-selling device catapulting Honor to achieve 10% market share in the Middle East.

The new Honor 7 device will be available from 18th October. Consumers can pre-register on www.HonorArabia.com for a promo-coupon worth AED 150 to use on their first Honor 7 purchase on Souq.com.

The device has already received global praise as a phone with all the high-end specs without the high-end price and has subsequently experienced huge success, selling out in China in just two minutes. Purpose-built for single-handed use, the Honor 7 packs a raft of game-changing smart functions and multimedia capabilities operated through its unique smart button and gesture-enabled fingerprint sensor.

Chris Sun Baigong Vice President of Huawei Honor in the Middle East commented, “The Honor 7 clearly demonstrates our capability to offer young tech savvy consumers in the Middle East, a smartphone that far exceeds their expectations. Not only that, but due to our unique factory to consumer business model which eliminates the need for bricks and mortar stores, we can offer a phone that inspires action and creativity at a surprisingly accessible price.”

The Honor 7 boasts a beautifully designed metallic, air brushed body with a 5.2-inch encasing as well as carefully positioned buttons and sensors that allow for single-handed operation. Its self-learning fingerprint sensor allows for rapid authentication and supports intuitive gesture controls that enables users to do everything from answer calls to take photos.

The Honor 7’s 20 MP rear-facing camera, powered by a Sony IMX 230 sensor and Honor’s PDAF fast-focusing technology is likened to having a professional SLR in the palm of your hand. The camera also offers easy to use tricks and features ranging from the Good Food mode, turning ‘foodgasm’ photography into a breeze, to a revolutionary light-painting capability through which users can construct vibrant artistic images, turning any amateur into a professional photographer in an instant.

Chris Sun Baigong Vice President of Huawei Honor in the Middle East continued, “We place our users at the heart of our business and are dedicated to getting closer to the end user through our unique business model. For example, we have our dedicated HonorArabia.com website where consumers can browse and learn about our products, and we even invited a number of our existing Honor users to come and enjoy our launch event as we wanted them to be a part of the celebration.”

Honor marked the launch of the Honor 7 phone with an event for partners, media and fans on 12th October at Al Quoz in Dubai. The event saw performances from champion slackliner Andy ‘Sketchy’ Lewis as well as UAE Parkour.
