Dr. Dany Touma’s Clinic “The Skin Clinic” in Beirut Adopts New Cutting-Edge Robotic Hair Transplant Technology
Beirut-Dubai: 13th October 2015 - Imdad, the leading provider of Aesthetic Medical Technology and Business solutions in the Middle East, announced in a press conference the installation of ARTAS® the First Hair Transplant Robotic System in the Middle East at Dr. Dany Touma’s Clinic “The Skin Clinic” in Beirut.
The ARTAS® Robotic System is the first and only physician-controlled, computer-assisted technology for hair transplantation. ARTAS’ advanced technologies provide accurate results, enabling patients to view and adjust the outcome prior to the procedure. This technology has eliminated the drawbacks typically associated with traditional transplant methods, opening the door for a new age of hair transplant procedures.
Tamer Wali, Chief Executive Officer of Imdad, said: “We are thrilled to bring the ARTAS®, the First Hair Transplant Robotic System to the Middle East. This cutting edge technology provides accurate results and gives patients the exact result they are seeking. This is achieved using an advanced virtual hair studio program, which enables patients to view and adjust the final outcome they want. . Hair is transplanted without stitches or scarring, and recovery time is fast.”
ARTAS’ superiority is driven by its accuracy in selecting and harvesting the healthiest grafts, which is vital for a successful hair transplant procedure. Advanced algorithms are employed to analyze each hair follicle, in order to select the healthiest grafts, increasing the chances of their regrowth. The robot’s flexible arm then starts to accurately harvest, targeting each follicle in its optimum angle, to ensure harvesting a healthy follicle with its surrounding tissue, which is essential for regrowth in the recipient area.
ARTAS’ innovative approach to hair transplantation starts during the consultation stage. Because every patient’s requirements are different, ARTAS® Hair Studio Technology enables the physician to show the patient the final outcome, including number of hair grafts required, direction of the implanted hair, and the final hair style using the patient’s own photos. This enables the physician to achieve the results the patient wants, and eliminates any guesswork.
ARTAS’ advanced technologies offer patients an unpreceded accuracy in designing and implementing the desired result. A virtual hair studio that shows the patient the end result, a digitized harvesting as per the approved design, a robotic site creation, all combine to produce an accurate result that is identical to the virtual pictures shown to the patient.
Dr. Dany Touma Specialist Dermatology Surgeon and Hair Transplant and owner of The Skin Clinic in Beirut said: “we are proud to present the first Artas Robot in the Middle East. ARTAS has revolutionized the hair restoration procedures. The technology is absolutely stunning, and the procedure is cutting-edge medicine.” He also continued, “We are receiving calls for procedures from patients all over the Middle East”
Mr. Claudio Cuscia Restoration Robotics Sales Director EMEA said: “we are very proud and honored to have Imdad as a partner in the Middle East Region and we thank Dr. Dany Touma for introducing the first ARTAS Robot in the region in his clinic”
The advanced technologies used in the ARTAS® Robot provide unrivaled accuracy in designing the final outcome of the hair transplant with the patients input. In addition to its state-of-the art image guidance and intelligent algorithms that optimize individual follicular unit harvesting, resulting in precise procedures and consistent results.
Beirut has witnessed the installation of the first ARTAS ® Robot in the Middle East at Dr. Dany Touma’s clinic, other cities in the region will follow in the near future.
