Working behind-the-scenes on shoots, with celebrities on the red carpet, and backstage at fashion shows, I experience new trends evolving practically every day. 
The winter/holiday/resort time of year is the most fun, because it’s sort of all-seasons-at-once: Rich, deeply glamorous colors and ultra-luxurious textures are what I love for the holidays, and the trends this year are absolutely in that vein. 
The fresh, fun, energetic aesthetic of resort is more important than ever in fashion; for nails it’s translating into gorgeous (and surprisingly easy) patterns and brilliant colors that really pop.
Think pattern, think color, think texture, think of using negative (clear) space in your designs, and most of all, have fun. Using your imagination is truly the ultimate expression of your personal style.

The looks at Chloe, Fendi, Misha Nonoo and Sonia Rykiel especially inspired me this year- and the look on nails is easier than you think to do yourself, even if you're a total amateur. Really, the imperfections are what make a distressed denim nail look realistic!"

"For this look, you need the perfect translucent backdrop—I used Sally Hansen Double Duty Base & Top Coat. And then you actually need two different shades of any color, one lighter and one darker, to give the illusion that a sheer crosshatching is being overlapped. I used two Sally Hansen Miracle Gel colors, as the lighter color, “Hydro Electric”, and a deeper blue called 'Tidal Wave‘ and I finished the look with Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat"
