IWC Schaffhausen hosts an exclusive Portofino ladies' brunch in Lebanon

Beirut, September 10, 2015 – Swiss luxury watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen and its exclusive retail partner in Lebanon, Atamian Watches, hosted a private Portofino ladies’ brunch at the iconic La Crêperie restaurant in Jounieh, Beirut. During the exclusive event, the prominent guests were invited to discover the Portofino 37 mm collection.

Created for watch lovers who prefer a slightly smaller timepiece, the Portofino 37 mm col-lection is characterized by a classic, timeless design that has helped this watch family to be-come one of IWC Schaffhausen’s most successful. The Portofino collection has been an ex-pression of understatement and good taste for 30 years and the different versions in the recent collection also reflect the elegance of the Italian coastal port after which the watch family is named. 

One notable timepiece on displayed was the Portofino Automatic Moon Phase 37 (Ref. 4590),  which features a dial, bezel and horns decorated with a total of 174 pure white dia-monds. The jet black dial has several meticulously applied coats of lacquer and is the perfect backdrop to truly bring out the sparkle of the precious stones. The IWC designers have de-picted the entire moon phase display as a star-studded night sky, with the moon and stars appearing to float in infinite space.

Another exquisite watch shown during the ladies’ brunch was the Portofino Automatic 37 (Ref.4581), which is housed in a 37-millimetre case and comes in four red gold and six stain-less-steel versions, each one either with or without a diamond-set bezel. The Portofino Au-tomatic, the puristic three-hand watch with a date display, has been the silent star of the IWC range for many years, so the fact that this classic is now available in a more opulent design with a slightly smaller case will please many aficionados. The sun-pattern finish on the dial and the meticulous finish on the case lend these timepieces an air of luxury and exclusivity.
