The Gulf Capital SME Awards 2015 identifies Eton Institute as one of the top candidates for the DHL People and Culture of the Year Award.
Dubai, 24 August 2015 – The Gulf Capital SME Awards, a top business recognition program organized by Gulf Capital in partnership with MEED, selected Eton Institute as one of the strongest entrants for the DHL People and Culture of the Year Award.
The program recognizes UAE’s top small and medium enterprises with their success, growth and innovation in different business industries that contribute in the country’s economy and community.
Eton Institute, a leading international language and professional development training provider, is set to present its portfolio to a panel on September 26 for the second stage of the judging process, where Sue Brett, VP of Sales & Marketing, will represent Eton Institute in the face to face presentation.
The People and Culture of the Year Award, sponsored by DHL, will go to the organization that best demonstrates positive working environment and dynamic people development. According to the Gulf Capital SME Awards Program, the Entrant for this Award should showcase its ways on how to motivate and engage its team vis-a-vis the company's values, and how this has impacted the business' commercial performance and competitive advantage.
“Our greatest asset is our people. Eton Institute cultivates people’s interests and continually empowers them to become productive every day, which collectively reflects the organization’s vision. As we empower our people on their best skills, achievements come naturally,” commented Moaz Khan, Marketing Director at Eton Institute. “Since its inception in 2006, Eton Institute, proud to be categorized as an SME, has been catering to large companies by providing organizational change,” he added.
According to MEED, in 2014, Gulf Capital SME finalists produced an average growth rate of 134% compared to 2013, indicating a robust performance of the small and medium-sized sector in the UAE. With more than 90% of total SME businesses in the country, growth indications not only mean increased business activity and greater contribution to the UAE’s GDP; but, also more job opportunities.
The Gulf Capital SME Awards, now on its fifth year, will take place on October 28 at the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina. There will be 10 more categories namely: Business Leader of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Business Innovation of the Year, RSA Customer Focus of the Year, Emirati Business of the Year, Gulf Capital Business of the Year, Start-up Business of the Year, Online Business of the Year, Sustainable Business of the Year and MasterCard Small Business of the Year.
