ESC reappoints Kamal Vachani as Hon. Regional Director for Middle East for another year

Dubai, August 5, 2015: INDIA IT SHOW, the flagship IT event of Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), Sponsored by the Government of India, to be held in Mumbai during 25th & 26th February 2016, will be attended by over 400 foreign delegates from over 60 countries, informed Mr Kamal Vachani, HON. Regional Director of ESC for the Middle East, whose tenure as Hon. Regional Director of ESC has been extended for another year. While announcing the extension of Mr Kamal Vachani’s appointment, Mr D.K. Sareen, Executive Director, ESC informed that we are happy to be associated with Mr Kamal Vachani, who has been representing ESC since 1999.

INDIA IT SHOW, India’s premier IT event, which is supported by the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry will have many new facets. Innovation and value addition to software solutions are the main thrust of the show, where around 150 Indian IT firms will display their cutting edge solutions and products. 
India’s export of computer software and ITeS during 2014-15 is estimated to be US$ 97 billion up from US$ 84 billion in 2013-14, registering a growth of 16 percent whereas the export of electronics hardware remains stable i.e. US$ 6 billion during 2014-15.

IT landscape globally is undergoing a change and Indian IT scenario would have to adapt to the changing needs of the overseas clients. For instance, penetration of IT in other business sectors is increasing phenomenally be, it relating to governance, education, day to day handling of small businesses, legal sphere or for providing  services to households. Secondly, more and more large business units are considering IT as a different business units and while enlisting vendors are looking at the whole spectrum of service providers and not  necessarily  the in-house systems. Thirdly, a large number of developing countries and less developed countries are embarking on IT application, which would push up substantially the IT businesses, says Mr. Kamal Vachani, Regional Director, Middle East, ESC. 
                                            
INDIA IT SHOW is designed to project India’s IT capabilities and will also highlight that Indian Software industry possesses unmatchable quality software & services to offer, says Mr. D. K Sareen, Executive Director, ESC. He stated that it is the fifth time INDIA IT SHOW is being held. Our responses in the previous occasions were overwhelming. “We expect a huge IT business in the aftermath of INDIA IT SHOW 2016 having regard to the fact we have on board a large number of IT buyers from abroad and a record number of Indian exhibitors of all hues-small, medium and large,” he added. Mr Sareen further added that Mr Kamal Vachani’s re-appointment in this region has helped ESC to penetrate in this part of the world in a big way.  

INDIA IT SHOW, seeks to improve the visibility of the Indian software industry especially, the SMEs and the start- up companies in the global IT market.  The focus would be on business services, e security, finance, banking, Insurance, manufacturing, education & training, embedded software, animation, packaged software, and many more innovative technologies.  Several IT entrepreneurs will use INDIA IT SHOW a platform to launch innovative IT products & services. To further augment the IT trade between India & UAE, ESC will be hosting a large delegation from entire Middle East.
