Alfardan Group hosts charity Iftar dinner at Al Gassar's Al Majlis Tent

July 11, 2015: Alfardan Group successfully hosted a charity Iftar at the Al Gassar Majlis Tent. The event, which was organized in collaboration with the Qatar Red Crescent Society, was held for the benefit of around 150 people, which was composed of 85 underprivileged children who are under the care of the Society and their respective families.  The activity allowed the children with the unique opportunity of experiencing an evening of first-class entertainment and distinguished hospitality, where they partook of a lavish buffet of gourmet specialties from Middle Eastern and Qatari cuisines, Ramadan delicacies, and Arabic and international desserts along with wholesome entertainment.

The initiative turned out to be memorable for the special guests who were entertained throughout the evening with fun-filled activities in accordance with the spirit of Ramadan. Alfardan Group has always been at the forefront in supporting philanthropic activities designed to bring meaningful change in the lives of the less fortunate members of the society and help them live with dignity and pride. It has an active corporate social responsibility program, which is part of its main corporate pillars and reflects its core values.

Mr. Saleh bin Ali Al-Mohannadi, the Secretary General of Qatar Red Crescent, welcomed this commendable initiative from Alfardan Group, hailing their constant support for Qatar Red Crescent, especially Mr. Omar Alfardan, the President and CEO of one of the largest business and investment edifices of Qatar. He hoped that this strategic bilateral partnership will continue to support Qatar Red Crescent's humanitarian mission and programs in the best interest of the Qatari and other world societies.

This marks the second consecutive year that Alfardan Group has collaborated with the Qatar Red Crescent Society in organizing a charity Iftar dinner, reinforcing its commitment to build a healthy, happy and motivated society in line with the Human Development Pillar of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
