Green Globe shares its joy through charity work

On 6th July, 2015, as a part of Ramadan Iftar Distribution, student volunteers of Green Globe distributed iftar packets to hundreds of Scrap workers and Dubai Municipality Labourers at Dubai Municipality Waste Disposal Site, Al Muhaisina.

Green Globe organized the event inspired by the tireless contribution of workers who develop infrastructure and high rise commercial and residential buildings for the community.

Green Globe volunteers gave love to the real heroes who toil day and night to keep the city clean, in the form of a packet of packet of biryani, an apple, water, a pack of juice, and dates each to the 250 Dubai Municipality Landfill workers.

The elated expressions of the labourers and the big grins on their faces made our mission complete. 

While many sit back and dogmatize on issues like world hunger, these youngsters took up the challenge and went ahead to help these labourers despite many of them fasting. It was the philanthropic soul, the helping hand and the caring heart of each of the volunteers that helped in the success of the event.

The event was also graced by important officials from the Dubai Municipality.

This marked the Fourth Leg of the Iftar Distribtuion Campaign carried out by Green Globe the others being conducted at Bee'ah Labour Camp, FEWA Ajman Office and at a labour camp in Sonapur.
