Last Update: Tuesday, July 7, 2015 : 10:49 (+4GMT)
Abu Dhabi - On the 11th of July, Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana will be hosting a flea market in collaboration with Makina Communications and The Body Shop where different household items will be on sale for the general public. This event is the third of four social activities planned by Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana during the month of Ramadan. Being charitable is one of the 5 great pillars of Islam, and Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana is proud to be hosting the flea market to assist the less privileged.
Grace Conservation will be on hand to sell their clothes with free entry for all guests for a good cause. This event offers a unique opportunity to engage in a charitable act and look upon what others around might be in need of and to reflect on life’s needs. All proceeds from the sale of clothes and other household items will go towards the purchase of Eid clothes for less privileged children.
Grace conservation is a Red Crescent sponsored humanitarian initiative aimed at preventing waste of excess food and clothes and redistributing it to the poor and needy with the support of Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority and the Department of Municipal Affairs - Municipality of Abu Dhabi City. Its aim is to alleviate the suffering of thousands of needy families, orphans and labourers. It has also contributed to increasing public awareness about the importance of showing compassion and kindness towards the sufferings of the disadvantaged groups of the society.
This charitable event will be open from 8:30 pm till 1:00 am and continue until the 13th of July 2015 for guests to come out and enjoy a little gift shopping for a good cause. Donation boxes for clothing and other items will be placed around so that guests can also participate in donating as they wish. Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana would like to wish you all a Ramadan Kareem.
