Dubai paddle tennis team prepare for Nad Al Sheba tournament organised by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai
Dubai, July 1, 2015 – The Sheikh Saeed Hasher Al Maktoum team SHM has received a smash volley of sponsorship from Al Nabooda Automobiles, the sole distributor of Audi in Dubai and Northern Emirates ahead of this week’s paddle tennis event.
Held in association with the Nad Al Sheba (NAS) Ramadan Sports Tournament 2015, the third annual competition hosts a number of sports including paddle tennis, archery, volleyball and running.
Formed in 2014 to participate in the inaugural NAS paddle tennis competition, the SHM team is back to retain their title in the popular tournament, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council.
The team boasts five Dubai-based professional paddle tennis players, including Shaikh Saeed Bin Hasher Al Maktoum, Omar Sharif Al Mazooqi, Javier Molina, Pedro Rios and Emilio Misas.
Ali Al Nabooda, General Manager, Audi, Al Nabooda Automobiles, said, “Paddle tennis is a relatively new sport but one which unites players on the court and tests fitness, skill and team building. Supporting the SHM paddle tennis team underlines our commitment to the development of sport in the UAE.”
“The tournament is a fantastic opportunity for sports enthusiasts to come together and compete at a top level. I wish the team all the best in their matches and look forward to supporting their efforts from the sidelines.”
SHM successfully won their first match which took place on Monday 29 June 2015 at the Nad Al Sheba Sport Complex in Dubai.
