Veteran management professional, Mr. Sunil Thawani bags the prestigious 2015 ASQ Lancaster Medal - First One from Middle East

Dubai, UAE, 11 June 2015: The American Society for Quality (ASQ) has awarded Mr. Sunil Thawani with the esteemed 2015 ASQ Lancaster Medal for his dedication and outstanding contributions to the International Fraternity of Quality Professionals.

The medal was presented to him at ASQ’s World Conference on Quality and Improvement on May 3rd, 2015, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee in the United States of America.

The award letter from the ASQ committee congratulated Mr. Thawani for his achievement and quoted, "For his (Sunil’s) outstanding contribution in the field of Quality and Excellence at local, regional, and international level with focus in the Middle East region; for his leadership at various quality organizations and raising global voice of quality in Middle East."

Sunil is the first person from Middle East to earn this recognition in over 30 years.

Delighted at the receipt of such a prestigious international award, Mr. Thawani said, “I am really thankful to the American Society for Quality for bestowing upon me this honour. This recognition inspires me to continue to pursue my passion, profession and dream of raising the Global Voice of Quality especially in the region.”

Mr. Sunil Thawani is a leading management professional with over 30 years of experience in Quality, Excellence, Governance, strategy, Business Transformation in industries like government, banking, real estate, oil, petroleum, management consulting, steel, logistics etc.
