Arabic calligraphy specialised workshops

Register to learn the rich traditions of Arabic calligraphy through Dubai Culture's series of specialised workshops at Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children on weekends until 26 July. Held under its Arabic Calligraphy, Ornamentation and Gilding project, the initiative is designed to inspire emerging talent while preserving the rich traditions of this art form through hands-on learning.

Participants can explore specialised courses in Ruq'ah, Thuluth, Naskh, Diwani and Jali scripts, alongside the intricate arts of ornamentation and gilding. Led by renowned calligraphers Abdul Razzaq Al Mahmoud, Musab Doori, Uday Alaraji and Zaid Al Athamy, the workshops offer a unique opportunity to develop artistic skills and gain deeper insight into one of the Arab world's most enduring cultural expressions.
