May 21st 2015 – Piaget recently celebrated the launch of its iconic collection, Piaget Possession, in Dubai. Held on the 21st of May at the VIP Lounge in the Dubai Mall, the event witnessed the attendance of significant socialites, bloggers and trendsetters from the country. Also in attendance at the event was Jean-Bernard Forot, Piaget’s Jewellery Marketing Director who has been instrumental in the successful launch of the Possession collection around the world. Jean-Bernard Forot, who has been with Piaget since 1999, played a major role in devising the 360 degree concept for the Piaget Possession launch. In his opinion, fine jewellery is like a fashion accessory to be worn daily and he has been credited with creating a recognizable jewellery style that is coherent with Piaget’s identity.
Guests at the launch were invited to try a 360 degree experience and live the Possession collection’s slogan at the Dubai Mall Atrium. “Turn and the world is yours,” says Piaget and thus, inspired by the movement and ritual on which the collection is based, the Possession film features women who, empowered by their ring, seize the world. Through its editing, music, script and universe, the entire film revolves around Possession’s circular movement, identity and signature.
Commenting on the campaign, Piaget’s Brand Director for the Middle East, Jean Marc Shammas said, “With the launch of this collection, we would like to celebrate the achievements of the Arab women from the region who have truly turned their world with success. We want the Possession ring and collection to become a talisman and companion for women that enlivens, enhances and transforms reality.”
The collection
Catering to the unique and modern woman of today, and much loved by Maison Piaget’s bold and beautiful Brand Ambassador, Hollywood actress Jessica Chastain, the Possession collection when worn gives its wearer an irresistible sense of truly owning her own life. The iconic collection arrives with 16 gorgeous novelties that include rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings each fitted with the special rotational feature. Made of pink gold and set with diamonds, the new Possession collection takes on the role of a particularly exclusive intimate companion. A jewel representing an endless source of pleasure for all women who follow their own set of rules. The highlight however, is the Possession Ring; No matter what the movement, just a few millimeters or a complete turn, the ring exudes positive energy. It becomes a constant confidante in every situation. In its jewellery version, it doubles up the ritual with two independent rotating bands.
With its utterly avant-garde design, the Possession ring illustrates Piaget’s emblematic creative daring. The subtly asymmetrical effect of the double bands redefines the roundness of the ring and enhances its aesthetic power. Experts in the art of sculpting gold, the goldsmiths of the Swiss Manufacture now craft the Possession ring in shining pink gold, perfectly in harmony with current trends. With its joyous allure, it captures both light and admiring gazes, while demanding to be caressed. Here too, the artisans’ skill unleashes heightened voluptuous pleasure. The delicately polished gold becomes a sensual ribbon just begging to be touched. The starting price of the collection is AED 6,850.
As the new Piaget Possession collection made its debut in Dubai, it excellently reminded women that all they need to do is turn and the world is theirs. Between 21st and 30th of May, the event will be open to public who can live the Piaget Possession experience at the Dubai Mall Atrium.
