“Nepal Quake Relief Drive” by “Students for the Earth”

Sharjah based UAE’s leading and one of the most popular youth community group “Students for the Earth” took up the cause of helping Quake hit Nepal. Reading and hearing news about increasing death toll and quake affected victims , this amazing youth group stood up for the needy in Nepal and organized a “Nepal Quake Relief Drive”.
“Students for the Earth” group Presidents Arushi Madan and Venkatesan Sundar announced the “Nepal Quake Relief Drive” on social media . Soon after , members , non members , students and parents started contributing voluntarily by bringing various kinds of items like rice , pulses , sugar , biscuits , rusks , cookies , blankets , bedsheets , basic toiletries (like tooth paste , tooth brush) , folding mattresses ,milk powder and what not….
The campaign was very well organized under the leadership of Arushi Madan and Venkatesan Sundar.
President Arushi Madan said “We were impressed with the overwhelming response and generous contributions from people all across Sharjah . It is our bit to bring smiles on the faces of Nepal Quake affected victims”.
Venkatesan Sundar who leads the group’s Charity and Humanitarian events said “ It is so heartening to see people willingly coming and contributing for such noble cause. We should help those who are affected by such fury of nature. We are thankful to all for their contributions”.
All the items as a result of collection were neatly packed in cartons and then handed over to Emirates Red Crescent , Al Garhoud , Dubai to be transported to Nepal soon.
