Watermelon Communications currently has offices in Dubai, Doha and Singapore.
The alliance enables Watermelon to stay at the leading edge of Public Relations and maintain its best practices and facilitates to develop marketing and communications strategies appropriate for European region, while maintaining its Middle East and Asia regional relevance. With Middle East, especially GCC now seen as the key emerging geographical focus for many businesses in Europe, this will be an excellent opportunity to establish market presence and build market share for both the partners.
"We see a need to this partnership as a number of companies in this region have existing and potential business interests in Italy and vice versa. Our tie-up is all the more important, as we are at the threshold of Expo Milan 2015. Now, we can act as a gateway to Italian and European companies aiming to enter the GCC and Middle Eastern markets. Moreover, our involvement with participants at Expo Milan 2015 will be a benchmark for us to gear up for Expo 2020”, said Madhu Kuttat, Managing Director, Watermelon Communications.
“This alliance enables Watermelon to assist participants in Milan Expo 2015 in exploring new ventures and to get exposure in GCC print, electronic and digital media. We can also facilitate Business-to-Business and Government-to-Government relations in the UAE and Italy. As our long term objective, we can be the intermediary for European and Italian business houses looking forward to establish their presence in the UAE targeting Dubai Expo 2020”, added Madhu.
"For the period 2015 - 2018, Soluzione Group is developing a real internationalization policy and the choice to work with the UAE and Gulf Countries is based on the opportunities that this region offers Italian companies and vice versa”, says Anna Pelucchi of SOLUZIONE GROUP. “We are sure this partnership will be an effective and strategic support to obtain significant results, visibility and business reputation in their markets of interest", she added.
Bilateral trade between the UAE and Italy exceeded €6.9 billion (Dh34.3bn) in 2014, out of which about four fifths of that trade consisted of exports from Italy to the Emirates. In the wake of Expo Milan 2015, the business interests between the UAE and Italy has heightened with more and more companies seeking possible alliances. The UAE Pavilion at Expo Milan 2015 will be one of the biggest, indicating the emergent interests.
