KARL LAGERFELD celebrates the opening of its concept store in Doha, Qatar

April 29, 2015: KARL LAGERFELD celebrates the opening of its concept store in Doha, Qatar. Located in the Lagoona Mall, it is the brand’s first store offering ready-to-wear and accessories in the Middle East! 

Qatar can now splurge on the Spring Summer 2015 ready-to-wear collection derived from bright shades to pastel tones. The Karl Kolors Accessories Collection in Klassics and Kuilted versions are available in the new boutique along with a range of eyewear, satchel and totes reinforcing the latest Karlims that Kolor is the new black!

Karl Lagerfeld is globally renowned for his aspirational and cutting-edge approach to style. The iconic designer’s namesake fashion house reflects his own signature aesthetic through accessible-luxe apparel and accessories. 
The first event in Qatar introduced the ‘ikonic collections’ and’ kool’ exploration of the world of KARL through SHU UEMURA interactive stations. VIP guests posed for their photographic memorabilia and were spoiled with macaroons and cocktails that reflected the bold Karl Kolors. 

The collaboration with SHU UEMURA grew organically, for Karl Lagerfeld sketches his famous red bordered sketches with only the Japanese cosmetics brand’s eyeshadow color palettes! Mr. Shu Uemura got wind of the wonderful news over two years ago and has since blossomed into a partnership. VIP guests were pampered with the limited edition Shupette collection of eyelashes and nail sticker inspired by the designer’s fabulous feline Choupette Lagerfeld. The false-eyelashes are the perfect inspiration for a cat-eye!

The event also marked the reveal of the Tiffany Cooper Mini capsule collection that hit stores the same day! Tiffany Cooper is a renowned artist known for her humorous depiction of characterized cartoons. Her offbeat portrayals of the fashion world lead to her mini-capsule within the brand’s SS15 collection of fun ready-to-wear apparel and accessories, from Choupette phone cases to shoes and clutches.

Kelli Silva was the blogger of honor during the Doha concept store opening that is the latest addition to a growing retail network worldwide. Spanning 80-square-metres, the store’s interior décor concept has been developed under the creative direction of Karl Lagerfeld himself and features a monochromatic black and white colour scheme juxtaposed against modern furnishings and classic accents. The store also reflects KARL LAGERFELD’S affinity for digital technology, with a giant screen and iPads integrated throughout the store to showcase the latest collections.
