Abu Dhabi’s highly competitive tennis tournament celebrated the 10th anniversary at Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi, Sunday, 26 April 2015– Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi once again hosted its annual tennis tournament from April 9 – 24 2015. Following the success of previous years in 2015 Beach Rotana also turned into the tennis stronghold of Abu Dhabi, and offered the public a chance to be part of one of Abu Dhabi’s largest public tennis events at Bodylines Fitness & Wellness Club.
This year we proudly celebrated the 10th anniversary of the tennis tournament; which has become an annual attraction not only for tennis players within the UAE but also for tennis enthusiasts from the GCC region.
The sporting event has gained national momentum and has attracted more attendees and talents each year, with 146 participants in 2015, playing for cash prizes and crystal trophies in various categories.
The grand finals of the ADCB Islamic Banking Beach Rotana Tennis Open took place on Friday, April 24 at Beach Rotana and the event was topped off with an Award Ceremony to honor the winners and sponsors. Special congratulations go to Nancy Fozey and Mahmoud Nader for winning the Ladies' and Men's Singles categories this year.
After awarding the winners, Resident Manager Chris Bannister stated: ‘We are very pleased to be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Beach Rotana Tennis Open. We are proud that this event has become one of the major tennis activities in Abu Dhabi and are already looking forward to the 11th edition next year. For the hotel, this year’s 10th anniversary is a milestone and I would like to thank everyone who participated and supported us.’
This event is sponsored by ADCB Islamic Bank, Al Sayegh Brothers Trading, Elite GCC, Head, Pepsi, Reve Calme, Al Dharis EST. Lead Right Tennis Academy, Al Ain Water and Bisociation International Company.
