“Weill” Opens First Standalone Boutique in Abu Dhabi

Marka launches the first boutique in UAE for renowned Ready-to-Wear fashion brand in Yas Mall

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 20th April, 2015 – At long last, Weill, the oldest French Fashion House, is opening its doors in Abu Dhabi. The brand’s first UAE monobrand outlet opens at Yas Mall at the heart of Yas Island. Weill forms part of the Marka Fashion portfolio, a division of Marka PJSC (DFM: MARKA), the first public joint stock company focused on the fast growing retail sector in the UAE. 

Established in 1892 by Albert Weill in the heart of Paris, today Weill is owned and operated by its founder’s heirs who remain faithful as ever to a savoir-faire that has been nourished by a richly crafted past. Heralded as the pioneer of ‘Ready-to-Wear’ fashion,’ Weill has become a byword for the very best of Parisian elegance through its production of sophisticated, yet practical daily-wear garments, season after season.

Nick Peel, CEO of Marka says “We know that the brand’s strong and loyal clientele are excited to see Weill opening its doors for first time in the UAE.” This new boutique will be 120 square meters  and will comprise all the elements that make up the setting dreamt up for Weill boutiques - sparkling lights, simple and elegant colour codes and feminine and refined decor showcasing modern and luxurious materials. The Abu Dhabi showroom will be the first in the region to have this dazzling new store concept.

Weill’s reputation for providing the highest quality, most stylish couture at affordable prices has led it to achieve a global presence of 48 monobrand stores and more than 870 sales outlets. The GCC is already home to the company’s best performing store in the world, which is located at The Avenues 3 in Kuwait City, Kuwait. Marka plans to open nine Weill mono-brand stores across the GCC by 2019.
