Dubai to host record breaking Dream Jump attempt at Princess Tower

Skydive Dubai to support the first Dream Jump initiative outside of Europe

Dubai, April, 2015 – Skydive Dubai in association with Never Before Events have announced plans to introduce the revolutionary 'Dream Jump’ experience to Dubai. Dream Jump Dubai, a part of ‘Dream Walker Around the World in 80 Jumps’ expedition, is the first such event outside of Europe, and will break records and introduce fans to this one of a kind experience.

To be held between the 13th and 19th April, 2015, Skydive Dubai athletes will join Dream Jumpers as they take the plunge from 400 meters above sea level, on the 99th floor of the iconic Princess Tower in Dubai Marina. Announcing  Skydive Dubai’s sponsorship of the world’s biggest Dream Jump event was, His Excellency Nasser Al Neyadi, Chairman of Skydive Dubai and President of the UAE Aerosports Federation; Zarir Saifuddin, partner at Never Before Events and founder of the Middle East Extreme Sports Expo; and Thomas Zielinski, the founder of the Dream Jump initiative.

“Our athletes have consistently broken records because of their adventurous and thrill-seeking spirit. That is why, we are extremely thrilled to host the largest edition of Dream Jump in Dubai” says H.E. Nasser Al Neyadi, Chairman of Skydive Dubai. “With a jump height of 400 meters, Dream Jump Dubai will break all boundaries of rope jumping as we know it and will enable athletes to experience base jumps against one of the most iconic skylines in the world.” 

“Dream Jump Dubai will use multiple zip lines, totaling over 10 kilometers of rope, suspended high over the iconic Dubai Marina skyline. Such an event has never been attempted before inside any city,” said Zarir Saifuddin, partner at Never Before Events and the regional distributor for the Dream Jump system. “Dream jumps are referred to around the world as bungee jumps without a recoil. A dream jump involves jumpers leaping off of tall structures while connected to a patented system of dynamic ropes. The end result is a long and safe free fall from any land mass or tower.”

Thomas Zielinski a former high-altitude worker and founder of the latest rope jumping craze said, “The patented braking system allows jumpers to land in a position similar as if a parachute had been deployed without experiencing the recoil as in Bungee Jumping."
