Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100 document scanner receives Red Dot Award for product design

Dubai, March 31, 2015 – The success story of Fujitsu ScanSnap document scanners continues: the portable ScanSnap iX100 has now been honoured with the prestigious Red Dot Award for Product Design 2015. Joining the ScanSnap SV600 and iX500 scanners, which received the accolade in 2014, the ScanSnap iX100 has also received the internationally recognised seal of quality based on the Red Dot Awards judging criteria.
The Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100 has been selected among strong competition by the Red Dot Awards jury of 38 renowned design specialists from around the world. The jury tested and evaluated more than 4,928 products from 56 nations to select this year’s recipients.

Designed to support the needs of business professionals, the Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100 makes scanning on the go efficient and productive. The ultra-portable and very light solution comes with built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and lithium-ion battery to allow mobile workers to capture documents directly to smartphones, tablets, PCs and Macs via Wi Fi and to share data via cloud services.

The Red Dot Award
First held in 1954, the international Product Design competition and its award, the Red Dot, is an internationally recognised quality seal. The jury is composed of renowned specialists from all over the world that guarantee with their expertise the high quality level of the competition. The adjudication process follows a canon of strict criteria, covering, among others, the degree of innovation, functionality, self-explanatory quality and ecological compatibility.
