LG Electronics Opens Its Doors In Qatar

Reaffirming its commitment to Qatar, LG opens its first representative office in Doha

Dubai, 5th March, 2015 —Today, LG Electronics, a global leader and technology innovator in consumer electronics, mobile communications and home appliances, officially inaugurated its first office in Qatar on Al Matar Street, Doha. The inauguration was attended by LG Electronics Middle East and Africa Regional CEO Mr. Kevin Cha, LG Electronics Gulf FZE President Mr. D.Y.Kim and VIP partners.

The new office significantly adds to LG Electronics Gulf’s already strong presence in Qatar, which has been built over the years collaboratively with its local distributors, such as Jumbo Electronics. The new office reinforces the importance of Qatar to the brand within the region, and strategically aligns with the Qatar Vision 2030 to provide the latest technology platforms to help achieve a knowledge-based ICT economy.

Mr. D.Y. Kim, President of LG Electronics Gulf FZE stated: “We are very proud to expand into Qatar and introduce LG representative office in Qatar market to communicate with our business partners and consumers alike.” He added: “We believe this will strengthen our operations in Qatar and allow us to respond more rapidly to changing needs of the market with our cutting edge technologies and offerings.” 

Ms. Jennifer Kim, General Manager, LG Electronics Gulf Qatar Office also stated: “We are excited to launch the first representative Qatar office in Doha. Being a very important market to us, our goal is to continue strengthening our existing relationships with our key partners in the country as well as expanding our expertise and support into other industry segments and government departments.”

The new Qatar representative office further affirms LG’s commitment to its customers by having a base on the ground of Doha. It allows LG to take feedback directly from the market and provide a better platform to deliver locally tailored offerings to its Qatari customers.

Additionally, the company hopes to expand its B2B relations and offerings for current and potential partners.

Currently LG Electronics has 17 showrooms in Doha through its partnership with Jumbo Electronics.
