DUBAI [IDC CIO Summit] — Feb. 25, 2015 — Gartner 'Cool Vendor' Sanovi [www.sanovi.com], the leading provider of business continuity and IT recovery software, today launched its new advanced cloud continuity tool at the IDC CIO Summit in Dubai. Recognized as a BC innovator by leading analyst firms such as Gartner, Frost & Sullivan and others, Sanovi is a summit Gold Sponsor and will demo its latest technology at Booth No. 19.

Engineered to conduct automated “test drills on the fly” for optimal disaster recovery preparedness, Sanovi has developed business continuity (BC) technology called 'application defined continuity intelligence,' or 'ADC intelligence.' Sanovi ADC intelligence captures an application's complete continuity profile. It further has the ability to map the application's profile to a specific cloud's architecture and requirements.

More than 90 percent of IT downtime is caused by hardware and software operational outages, making it imperative for businesses to have dependable disaster recovery (DR) plans. With increasingly complex and powerful applications and infrastructures, both in the cloud and on-premises, automated DR management tools are required to ensure critical business continuity. For example, a financial Sanovi client, the HDFC Bank in India, is required by the government to conduct and report on DR drills every six months. It has been able to do this successfully with Sanovi.

“While disaster recovery plans are essential to ensure business continuity, they may do little good if they aren't tested regularly,” commented Lakshman Narayanaswamy, Co-founder and VP Products. “Making sure that the plan actually works is a beast of its own and could take weeks, if not months, of testing—testing that needs to occur regularly. We solved this problem with an advanced test drill on the fly.”

Sanovi's cloud continuity can be a powerful weapon in defending a company against disaster. Please visit Sanovy at the IDC CIO Summit, Booth No. 19, or contact Ramesh Narshiman, president of the Middle East and APAC, at APAC@sanovi.com.
